Climate
The Nha Trang city enjoys a dry season that runs from January to August with average temperatures ranging from 31º to 40º centigrade. Typhoons regularly hit the island, and although the high winds do not really affect the city, heavy downpours are common during the wet or rainy season.
Things to do
Predominantly a beach resort, the 6km beach is a tropical paradise. White sands are backed by the towering hotels and buildings, which accentuates the clarity and colour of the crystal clear warm waters which, so many holiday makers enjoy. As you would imagine, water sports and scuba diving are major attractions offering the visitor the opportunity to make their own new discoveries.
For those more adventurous the Vinpearl Cable Car that connects the mainland to the 5-star island resort of Hon Tre, where you can find a theme park, the gondola cable car ride is not for the feint hearted. If you want to visit the other islands why not take a boat trip and enjoy the crystal-clear waters, as you cruise along at your own leisure. The islands offer natural havens for peace and tranquillity with waterfalls and hot springs. Although not considered a nightlife hot-spot there is the opportunity to enjoy a relaxed night life with a selection of bars, restaurants and night clubs that open until early morning. Getting to Nha Trang
Easily accessible by air, road or rail Nha Trang is well located for transport links. The cuisine in Nha Trang is traditional Vietnamese fayre, with their fish sauce considered by many as the most flavoursome. The food is dominated by seafood, which is almost exclusively caught in local waters. A real delight is the fermented pork rolls, which are a delicacy in the region. Nha Trang is quickly gaining recognition across the world and is a beautiful place to visit.
